World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM), represented by its president, Ms. Pamela D. Pascual, joined the ASEAN China Centre (ACC) Networking Dinner last May 23 at Diamond Hotel. The event was one of the highlights of ACC’s business mission to the Philippines held from May 22 – 25, 2017.
The ACC is in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), and the World Trade Center Metro Manila. The 20-man delegation was led by ACC Director Li Yuan. As the only inter-governmental organization between ASEAN and China, the ACC serves as a one-stop information and activities center that promotes ASEAN-China cooperation in trade, investment, education, culture, and tourism. Over the past five (5) years, ACC has become an important platform for promoting cooperation between China and ASEAN, making positive contribution to China-ASEAN relations. The ACC was established in November 2011 and was inaugurated during the 14th ASEAN-China Summit in Bali, Indonesia.
The ACC delegation aims to explore business opportunities with Philippine companies from the sectors of e-commerce and training, financial services and logistics services; exportation of Philippine products, such as agricultural goods, fish, beverages, fresh food and energy products; importation and exportation of engineering equipment; and exportation of indigenous products that are commonly found and grown in the Philippines.
